Ultra Light Boat Rods - Reef Wand Series

The ‘Reef Wand’ range of rods from Legacy Rods set a new benchmark for ultra light, inshore boat rods. Incredibly light and sensitive, every movement of the fish is transmitted through the slim blank, ensuring maximum sport is enjoyed. Wonderful rods for fishing artificials or baits.

Available in three line classes - 4-6lb (Light), 6-8lb (Medium), 8-12lb (Heavy).

The heavy fishes really nice with leads to 6oz, the light to 3oz and medium with leads to 4oz.   

Recommended guides are TiCH frame with SiC rings to ensure longevity and suitability for braid.

Blanks can be customised with genuine New Zealand Mother of Pearl inlay or marbling near the foregrip if desired or simply finished with thread in your colour choice.

A sample of genuine Mother of Pearl inlay. Surely one of natures most beautiful creations. Like a human fingerprint, no two shells will be alike, making your rod a true one off.

A marbled effect and images can be applied to the rod.

Recommended reel seats are a graphite body with anodised aluminium hardware. Fuji  DPS reel seats can be fitted as an option if you prefer.

I use slow setting epoxies for both gluing and finish for longevity and toughness. As such, each of these rods would take 1 week to be completed.
